TFN FKI series laser rangefinder: high-precision and multi-function to help accurate and effective measurement
Laser rangefinder is a device that uses laser technology to measure the distance of a target. It is widely used in architectural design, geographic surveying and mapping, engineering construction, military applications, environmental monitoring and other fields. TFN FKI series laser rangefinder provides users with accurate and effective measurement solutions with its excellent measurement and calculation functions, powerful data storage and management capabilities, and good environmental adaptability.
When we choose a laser rangefinder, its main parameters and functions have an important impact on the measurement accuracy and application range. TFN FKI series laser rangefinder is a high-precision and multifunctional laser rangefinder launched by TFN. We use this instrument as an example:
In terms of main parameters, we mainly focus on the following parameters: measurement range, measurement accuracy, magnification, laser type and level, sight field angle, etc.
1. Measurement range: refers to the shortest and longest distances that the laser rangefinder can effectively measure. Small household equipment is usually tens of meters to hundreds of meters, and the measurement range of industrial and military equipment can be expanded to several kilometers. The longest measurement distance of TFN FKI series laser rangefinder can reach 10 kilometers, which meets the needs of users with long-distance distance measurement.
2. Accuracy (measurement error): Indicates the difference between the measurement result and the actual distance, usually expressed in millimeters (mm) or percentage. The measurement error of the FKI series is as low as ±0.5mm, which is lower than the average ±2mm standard on the market; and the accuracy rate can reach 98%.
3. Magnification: When the laser rangefinder measures the distance of the target object, the magnification can make the signal obtained by the laser measurement clearer and more accurate. The FKI series has a 7x magnification, which is close to the industry's highest standard (8x) and meets the needs of most precision distance measurement users.
4. Laser type and level: Laser type refers to the type of laser source used by the laser rangefinder, which differs in wavelength, such as infrared laser, visible light laser (such as red light or green light, etc.). Laser level is based on the classification of laser safety according to international standards (such as IEC 60825-1). Common ones are level 1, level 2, level 2M, level 3R, etc. Level 1 is the safest and suitable for long-term direct viewing by the human eye. The FKI series uses a YAG laser with a working wavelength of 1064nm, which has the characteristics of high beam intensity, long transmission distance, and little environmental impact, but it should be noted that it should not be aimed at the human eye and skin when used.
5. Field of view of the sight: refers to the range that can be seen through the sight, which determines how much of the target area you can see. The larger the field of view, the wider the range you can see and the easier it is to find the target, but at the same time the details of the target may not be clear. The 6.5° field of view of the FKI series can ensure that the widest possible range and the clearest possible target details can be seen in the case of long-distance testing.
In terms of main functions, we mainly focus on the following functions: distance measurement, horizontal distance/vertical distance measurement, pitch angle, azimuth angle, gating function, etc. TFN FKI series laser rangefinders include all of the above functions.
1. Distance measurement: the straight-line distance between the observer and the target
2. Horizontal distance: the horizontal distance between the observer and the vertical foot of the target
Vertical distance: the distance between the target and the vertical foot of the target
3. Pitch angle: the horizontal angle between the observer and the target
4. Azimuth angle: observe the target direction, the observer's due north is 0°, and it gradually increases clockwise, with a maximum of 359.9°
The parameters of the above four functions can be displayed simultaneously on the sight of the FKI laser rangefinder.
5. Sorting function: It is achieved by controlling the time of laser emission and the time window of receiving signals. After the laser is emitted, the instrument will set a time window and only receive the reflected signal arriving within this time window. It is an effective method to improve measurement accuracy and avoid mismeasurement, especially for measurement scenarios with long target distances or complex target surfaces. The FKI series gating distance can reach 20~5100 meters (step length is 10 meters), and the ultra-long gating distance ensures the accuracy and reliability of the measurement data.
In addition to the main parameters and functions, we also need to consider other factors:
Working life --- the use time of the equipment
Environmental adaptability --- working temperature/humidity, whether it is waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof
Data management --- data retrieval, data storage, data transmission
Display --- screen resolution, brightness, lighting, etc.
Appearance --- size, weight
-
Power supply system --- power type, capacity
TFN FKI series laser rangefinder can meet the testing requirements of most application scenarios in terms of parameters, performance and functions. If you want to get more information about this product, please contact TFN sales team:
